Do you like to use hair straighteners? and what about the ceramique ones? I was scared before to use them cuz i thought they had the same damage effect of the fair, but when i used them they are gentle on the hair, i'm using it from a year now but it didnt damage my hair although alot of ppl say its not good cuz still its putting extra heat on my hair..
do you like to use those kind of staighteners? And how often do you use them? each time i wash my hair i have to do at least my bangs by a straighten, my hair is only dried with a towel or a blow dryer..

I use a ceramic straightener but I apply a leave-in conditiner before using the straightener. My hair is really thick and has a lot of volume so the straightener doesn't damage my hair.

Vica-girl, i should use something before using the straightener, just to protect it, but the problem is that my hair is tooo oily and i always try to avoid any hair products, i have to use conditioner when i shower but i try to wash my hair good after applying it and if i did put anything later its gonna look all greasy :s

Oh, but you know there are special products for that type of hair. Everything's available these days. I use John Friedas products and it's heaven to my hair. Looks soo shiny, everyone asks me if I dyed my hair because its so shiny, :P. I'll bet you if you go to the salon they might tell you what products to use.

I have a Solia ceramic flat iron, and it is wonderful! I use a lot of conditioners though, and my hair has no damage! After I shampoo I use a lot of conditioner, then i use a spray-on leave-in conditioner after I towel dry it, then I use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine serum, then I comb it until it's dry. After it's dry I straighten it and apply Dove's Anti Frizz smoothing cream. It's a lot, but I don't even have dandruff!

Here's a before and after image of a girl who used the Solia flat iron(it doesn't look like the same girl but it is!)

Hmph. I don't have dry hair. :? I don't want to get dry hair, that's why I use all of it. My hair is, in truth, smooth. Because I don't blow dry it, which helps a LOT. I just let it air dry then straighten. It makes a huge difference.
