LINDSAY TO BE LOUIS VUITTON'S NEW FACE

Lindsay Lohan, 19, will be the new face of French fashion house Louis Vuitton, a friend of Lindsay's exclusively tells Star. The deal has yet to be officially announced, but fashion industry bible Women's Wear Daily reported on March 8, that Lohan and Louis Vuitton were in talks for such a deal.

"Lindsay's really excited," says the friend. "It's not been officially announced yet, but she's definitely landed the job."

The current face of Louis Vuitton's ad campaign is supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Past stars who've appeared in Louis Vuitton campaigns include Uma Thurman, Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Sevigny.

UPDATE: The deal fell through and Naomi is the new face of Vuitton. Poor Lindsay, everytime she lets it leak that she signed a big contract, it falls through.

gargh.. you can't help but talk it up when you've been in talks with fashion houses that big. Still Nicole is the face of manolo, so i guess Lindsay can do LV. But NOT chanel.. theres just this huge distance between those two brands.

I think Lindsay is great! She's talented and she has great style - sometimes :P Although, LV is not her, I don't think I'd be enticed with a huge picture of Lindsay holding a LV handbag! I dunno...LV is just not Lindsay... :) What she does in her personal life doesn't effect that fact that she dresses nice! Hence I still love her style!

I liked Lindsay Lohan when she was younger. When she had that cute red hair, freckles, va-va-va voom body. I don't think she's model material, in my opinion.

After claims that she would be the new face of Louis Vuitton never materialized, Lindsay Lohan is now following in the footsteps of Chinese actress, Zhao Xun by starring as the new face of Miu Miu.

Miu Miu launched in 1992 and is the lower priced diffusion line of Prada, geared towards a younger market. Miu Miu was the childhood nickname of Prada Designer & Heiress, Miuccia Prada.

A Prada spokesperson confirmed that Lindsay is currently in London shooting ads for the Miu Miu Spring 2007 ad campaign.

Im so glad this fell through it seems as though LV wants anything thats popular just now to advertise their brand.And im certainly not happy about Naomi Campbell being the new face.
I dont consider either of them as classy which LV is.
