Common practice requires, that the presidents of countries-participants of Asia-Pasific summit take pictures in the traditional dresses of the host country. In Hanoi they had to put on practically womanish clothes: long silk tunics with cuts on each side. Sure, they could leave trousers on. But actually, only women risked to dress the hats, supplementing the whole dress.
