I think there fine for good coverage and adding some quick summer color to your complexion. Just be certain it looks "tan" when the spray on goes bad you can end up with an orange-ish look to your skin.

Yeah, I am different to the spray on tan. I like the real deal, the bad kind. The actual baking. Ahh...it feels good. Here's a tip. If you want a really dark tan, go tanning in a bed first and then do the spray on. Wow. Its like double the color. Right after you tan, the pigment is right on the surface so when you follow that w the spray it makes it even darker. I did that once, and I looked like I just came back from the beach.

I've been wanting to try a spray tan for so long, but I'm so scared it will come out blotchy or orange!!

You won't know how the tan will look on your skin unless you do it. Just do it on the weekend, or sometime when you could be away from people. Just in case it doesn't turn out the way you want it to. But you'll be fine, it shouldn't turn out orange.

I think it looks pretty obvious if you have a spray on tan, not to mention awful looking

I think they usually look fake, and not so hot. I read an article in More magazine about getting a "healthy glow" instead of looking all fake n' bake- you should pick it up, they recommend some great products- bronzers, lotions, etc, that are nicer than the usual orange-y looking products. If you get a spray on tan, you might hate it, and then you're stuck with it.

Spray on tans rock! i get them all the time. they really wont turn you orange. The only kind i've used and can vouch for is Mystic Tan. They usually last about a week. I've never had streaking or any uneven spots. and as it fades it does so gradually all over so you dont look patchy. if you're tanned when you get them you just look really dark and fresh, and if you're pale when you get it done you will just look really tanned after. you can also get it done in various shades (light, med and dark) so you can even become "tanned" gradually like you would if it were a real tan. also another product i use is Aveeno Contiuous Radiance in med (my really pale sister tried light but didnt notice much change in color) you just put it on like a daily moisturizer after you shower, and it will add a little more color day by day getting you really tanned looking. I like this product less than the spray tans, but for keeping up color it works quite well (just try to wax your legs because shaving will take off color) anyways hope this helps!;)

Love spray tans and they can look very good aslong as you get a good one
I tend to go to my beauticians and get a light one as i'm quite pale
It looks great on
And i don't care what anyone says but i for one look a hell of alot better with a tan than without ;)

My friends who are girls get spray on tans all the time. The "Mystic tan" really works too...they were afraid that they would turn orange, but there are different tanning levels that you can do and you can also get a bronzer in the mystic. It takes less than a minute, and the color develops a couple hours later. They never complain about turning weird colors.

personal opinion on most people it looks fake especially if you see someone one day and the next day they are miraculously darker... but to each her own :)
