The waistline was a poor choice. Looks like a maternity dress.
Did they make her wear a lower heel because she's so tall? They didn't want her to look as tall as he is? It's hard to tell from that up angle.

I think they're trying to accent the waist but it just makes her hips look bigger and bottom heavy.

with the exception of the LENO outfit, I was not a big fan of her style. I really liked cindy mcCains look, it was more classic. I feel like Michelle chose daring outfits which is good but the lines and cuts of the dresses were poor choices.

Everything worked on her outfits except the red and black dress when Obama won the presidency. The crossed lines of the satin on her hips just made her look too wide. She should have gone more defining waistline or a belt or something. Still the woman is an amazon and it must be hard to find clothing that fits 'right'.

Michelle Obama is one of the top first lady Fashion Icon. Whether you like it or not. For me she has the style of her own. we cannot compare her to other model the way she carry the dress she wore. Remember we compare her to a "model". She is now a mother of 3, and not getting any younger .
I see Mrs Obama as a model of her age. I like the way she carry those designers clothes.:)

She can do whatever she wants however she chose a very unflattering dress for a "mother of three". She should have gone with a munch simpler pallet.
