Angry Interview Question HELP?

I have an interview soon and have this practice question I cannot seem to decide an answer on, any advice, or your answers would be MUCH appreciated.

"Which high street fashion store do you feel is most directional at the moment"?
This is a university interview....I thought (primark as its low cost, quick changing high fashion inspired looks/clothing that people can throw away and change looks quickly and cost efficiently) Is that absolte rubbish?

Default interview question

Yes, I agree with what you are saying but when purchasing something from Primark, it never feels that special, you never cherish it as much as if you have spent a while thinking and saving for something...I really like Zara, I went in the other day and didnt know where to look first, everything was reasonably priced plus amazing quality but then French Connection is really great and always stands out in a crowd. you can always tell a French Connection piece...Topshop is also consistant but this can be quite obvious!...

i hope that helps!

Yeah I agree... Primark is good in the sense that you don't particularly waste money - if it gets ruined after a good few wears then it doesn't matter so much because you haven't invested in it.

Everyone needs a capsule wardrobe though and a capsule wardrobe has to be full of timeless classics that are good quality so you can wear them season after season - you can't get that with Primark!

Saying that though, I guess there is no right or wrong answer - it is a question asking for your opinion so they will probably be judging you on how well you can justify your answer.

I will only give my opinion about your question..

I think, there is no wrong answer on that question, Their judgment will depend on how well you stand on your answer!

Default University Question..

Oh gee's there is no right or wrong answer and you most probably have sat the exam by now but I always thought that directional meant 'ahead of the trends' or 'trendsetter' so in terms of that, in my opinion, it would have to be:

Designer: Balmain, Etro and Balenciaga
High street : Topshop, French Connection and nowadays River Island

This covers the spectrum where as I think Primark is amazing value for money their strategy is flawed in the sense of 'directional fashion'.

All the best with the exam.

Default Interview Question HELP

Hi,

Then take the time to research the company. That way you'll be ready with knowledgeable answers for the job interview questions that specifically relate to the company you are interviewing with.
